Artos Engineering Introduces PF-10 Heavy-Duty Wire Prefeed Unit
Artos Engineering Company has introduced the Artos PF-10, the next generation of prefeed equipment for heavy-duty reel applications.
“With its simple loading, fast set-ups, and trouble-free feeds for extra-large, heavy-duty reels, the PF-10 provides our customers with the competitive advantage of more production time,” said John Olsen II, Artos Engineering Company president.
An ideal companion to the Artos CS-327 or other large wire-processing machines, the PF-10 Heavy Duty Wire Prefeed Unit handles reels with a diameter of up to 1.2 M (48 in.) and weights of up to 1134 Kg (2500 lbs) and features a shaft-driven system for precision unwinding and rewinding of wire.
The safety guard on the PF-10 lifts up for easy access, simplifying set up and reel changeover. A touch of a button activates the motor to raise and lower reels, and the two-pulley system minimizes wire threading to further shorten set-up time.
With the two-pulley system, an adaptive drive, and intelligent controls on the new PF-10, it senses wire reel diameter and acceleration and automatically adjusts the feed rate, creating a consistent wire outflow of up to 2M/sec to meet machine demand. A standard machine interface communicates system errors and e-stops.
