API Test Cables Tackle Rugged Environments
API has introduced new test cables to tackle rugged environments. Able to handle signals to 40 GHz with low insertion loss (< 0.9 dB/ft + 0.7 dB) as well as exceptional phase stability (± 8°) and VWSR (<1.35:1), Electromagnetic Integrated Solutions (EIS) high-frequency test cables are designed for use in extremely rugged lab, production, and environmental testing conditions.
The crush-resistant cables have flexible stainless-steel armor, a corrosion-resistant shield, braided-PET jacket, and over-molded strain relief. The cables are available standard in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6-ft lengths as well as in custom lengths, and as an individual assembly, a pair, or a phase-matched set. A variety of connector options, including passivated stainless-steel connectors, are also available. ($300 to $500 — available 2 to 3 weeks ARO.)
