TTI announced new capabilities offered by its European connector assembly facility, located at the company’s European headquarters outside of Munich, Germany. TTI can now provide a comprehensive service covering Amphenol and Souriau circular connector types and is QPL-certified for both manufacturers’ products.
Amphenol’s MIL-DTL-38999 Series I and III connectors are available in all types of aluminum shells, sizes, and layouts with a choice of PC tail, coax, power, and signal contacts. More than 1,500 component parts are held in stock and platings available include olive drab cadmium and electroless nickel. Devices can be supplied to meet the French HE308 standard (LJT 38999 Series I) or to Amphenol’s approved commercial grade (TVxx). TTI can also assemble Amphenol’s MIL-C-26482 PT/451 Series connectors.
Souriau’s MIL-DTL-38999 Series I aluminum connectors are available with olive green cadmium and nickel platings. MIL-DTL-38999 Series III devices can also feature black zinc nickel plating, which is ROHS-compliant, or green zinc cobalt (a commercial plating). Devices are also available with composite and stainless steel shells.
“We see a growing market demand for composite and power connectors, so we have strengthened our capabilities in this area,” said Thilo Pelosato, marketing director, Europe — military, aero, and space, TTI. “Customers are also looking to reduce size and weight so we have introduced some smaller product options. As well as the traditional defense and aerospace sectors, electric vehicle, marine, and industrial applications are also performing well, so we have added to our expertise in these areas to support our customers.”
