Amphenol-Tuchel Electronics Super-Flat BRIDGEBLOCK for SIM Cards
February 2008—Amphenol-Tuchel Electronics, a provider of Smart Card connectors for GSM mobile phones, has expanded its product range by introducing the super-flat BRIDGEBLOCK to the market.

Features include: flat height of 1.6mm; card is shielded by a metal cover (four-point grounding); optimized card guidance; and an integrated card detection switch. The connector is assembled on the circuit board by SMD-technology, and meets highest coplanarity standards.

The BRIDGEBLOCK meets the requirements of RoHS and WEEE.

Tape-and-reel packaging is suitable for automatic assembly using the pick-and-place process.

The new BRIDGEBLOCK is tailor-made for use in mobile phones, smart phones, GSM-modules, POS terminals, and similar applications.
