Tyco Electronics Adds DIN Rail Mounting Kit for Mod Jacks
Installation Kit Makes Structured Cabling a Snap in Industrial Cabinets
May 2008—The DIN Rail Modular Jack Installation Kit simplifies the task of applying structured cabling systems to industrial cabinets and factory applications. The kit includes a plastic rail-mount adapter, shielded modular jack, and two tie wraps. The AMP-TWIST 6S SL Modular Jack fits snugly in the adapter, which features cable strain relief and an angled configuration, so that the jack interface is at a 45-degree downwards angle for easier management in the cabinet.

The AMP-TWIST 6S SL Modular Jack meets Category 6A performance requirements, making it compatible with applications up to 10 Gb/s. The jacks are rugged, can be reused, and feature a slim profile for superior density. The jack’s two-piece design offers very fast and simple termination of shielded cable, terminating all conductors in a single cycle, and providing a 360-degree shield contact for excellent crosstalk performance. Optional color-coded covers are available to allow identification of different jacks by function, circuit, or other need.

The rugged polymer adapter includes a generous area for labels and is stackable side-to-side. Optional end-covers provide dust protection and stability.
