Fujitsu offers a wide range of external (input/output) and internal (printed circuit board) electronic connectors, as well as copper and optical high-speed modules, cable assemblies, and PC Card connectors.  Fujitsu connectors are primarily found in workstations, data networking equipment, telecommunications devices, peripheral products, instrumentation, factory automation, and test equipment requiring high quality, high- reliability interconnect solutions.

Most notable is Fujitsu’s MicroGiGaCN® connector series (board-to-board and I/O) for gigabit-speed applications in the converging telecom/datacom market.  This matched-impedance connector utilizes a 3.187 Gbit/sec wire speed connection with four or twelve wire link widths.  Its scalable performance range of 500MB/second to 6.4GB/second per link meets the needs of both entry-level and high-end enterprise systems.  Forward crosstalk is less than 4% at 100 pico second pulse-rise time (four-pair switching).

Applications include network switches and hubs, and connections between components in high-speed computer clusters, video systems, test equipment and real-time medical equipment.  This connector series has been adopted by InfiniBand, Serial Attached SCSI, 10G Ethernet CX4, Serial ATA-2, and 10G Fiber Channel as the high-speed copper I/O standards interface.

Fujitsu now offers high-speed copper and optical modules for 10G Ethernet applications. Fujitsu has recently released CX4 modules in both XENPAK and X2 form factors. In addition, Fujitsu a parallel optical module converter (OMC) that allows for 4 parallel optical lanes to interface with standard InfiniBand/10G Ethernet ports is also available.

Fujitsu’s other specialty connectors include those that support, X2, SCSI I, II, and III; Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), Intelligent Peripheral Interface (IPI) I and II; SCA2; Fiber Channel; Media Independent Interface (MII); S-bus; M-bus (matched impedance), Compact PCI and Infiniband interfaces.

Fujitsu’s complete line of PC Card connectors includes CompactFlash, and one of the largest offerings of PC Card and DRAM Card headers.  PC Card connectors come in standard or CardBus configurations, with ESD protection and through-hole or surface-mount terminals.
