Trompeter, a
wholly-owned division of Stratos International, is a best-in-class
producer of RF interconnect products, including RF connectors,
patchjacks, cable assemblies and related tools for the
telecommunications, military/aerospace, broadcast and instrumentation
markets worldwide.
Founded in 1960, Trompeter has earned a highly positive reputation
with innovative designs, quality manufacturing and engineering
support. Trompeter is registered through Det Norske Veritas (DNV),
since 1994. All of our products are manufactured in our modern factory
located in Mesa, AZ and shares a campus with Semflex, our sister
company.
Our product offering includes a wide range of coax, twinax and triax
connectors, cables, tools and cable assemblies. Trompeter products
typically meet or exceed standards such as NEBS, MIL-C-49142,
MIL-STD-1553B data bus, and MIL-C-39012, and GR 326. Trompeter’s
manufacturing CAGE code is 14949.
For the telecom market we manufacture BNC connectors, digital
cross-connect products and a full line of completer items for the
central office DS3 coaxial transmission line. More recently, we have
taken our knowledge of high frequency signal management and applied it
to the broadcast video segment in anticipation of the coax capacity
changes coming about due to HDTV.
Trompeter actively seeks close customer engineering relationships in
order to develop and design application specific products together
when standard products will not meet custom needs. We are particularly
proficient at supplying product where reliability and performance are
critical. Trompeter’s extensive list of customers includes every North
American telephone companies including their OEM suppliers such as
Nortel, Lucent, Cisco, and Alcatel. In the MIL/Aerospace segment, that
list includes Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon, Marconi, AT&T,
Raytheon, American Broadcasting Company, SAIC, among others. Our solid
