Woodhead Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: WDHD) develops, manufactures and markets network and electrical infrastructure products engineered for performance in harsh, demanding and hazardous industrial environments. We are known in the global industrial market by our recognized brands that include Brad Harrison®, SST™, Daniel Woodhead®, Brad®Power, Brad®Control, mPm®, applicom®, Aero-Motive® and RJLnxx®.

Plug and Play in the Auto Industry Auto makers today build cars faster and cheaper thanks to Woodhead innovation. The Brad Harrison® Mini-Change® connector and wiring system, designed in 1969 for Ford and GM, forever changed factory automation and continues to make machine maintenance quicker and easier. This “Plug and Play” concept, along with the Micro-Change® M12 and Nano-Change® M8 connector systems, revolutionized the wiring of automotive  assembly lines. As a strategic supplier to GM, Woodhead created a single cable/connection system that will be standardized for all tool cord applications taking GM closer to its 30 percent overall cost reduction goal.

New High Speed/High Performance Connections.  To help complex machine builders and tier suppliers achieve their goals, Woodhead created a revolutionary new M12 radial seal and lock system. The first of its kind, this system provides incomparable sealing integrity (IP69K), an audible locking system for security, and cost and time savings of up to 60 percent.

Industrial Network Communication Expertise.  Interbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, AS-Interface and other fieldbuses utilize Woodhead MPIS® cable consolidation architecture to make multiple factory floor and machine communication protocols operate harmoniously. Today, Woodhead supports more industrial communication protocols than any other manufacturer while offering superior hardware performance, incredible “ease of use” software, and intuitive and predictive diagnostic products in its connectivity line.

Application-Driven Customization.  Since 1922, the Woodhead name has been synonymous with rugged performance. Driven by the specific needs of industry, Woodhead also provides custom electrical and connectivity solutions designed for the toughest environments.

Global Reach. Woodhead operates from 21 locations in 10 countries spanning North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific. Today, Woodhead connectivity products are found in numerous robots, assembly and machining lines throughout the world.
