CONEC Bayonet-to-Bayonet Coupled IP67-Sealed Options

By News Release | June 16, 2014

CONEC added bayonet-to-bayonet coupled IP67-sealed options to its IP67 RJ45, USB, and LC Duplex lines.

CONEC Bayonet-to-Bayonet Coupled IP67-Sealed OptionsCONEC now supplements its IP67 RJ45, USB, and LC Duplex product ranges with a new in-line coupler variant that provides bayonet locking on both ends, not just the outside connection. To establish IP67-protected interfaces, modern industrial applications have high requirements for the connectors used. CONEC connectors are used in process control for factory automation or data communication devices in harsh environments. In addition, they are also appropriate for outdoor use in network technology and telecommunications.

With the double-sided bayonet locking, an IP67-protected cable-to-cable connection can be established. The new in-line coupler variants can be used for front and back panel mounting, or with no panel at all. Many different applications are possible for equipment/box design, as well as exposed field wiring. Housing materials in black plastic or metalized plastic are available. The new connectors with double-sided bayonet locking are compatible with the existing CONEC series IP67 RJ45, USB 2.0, and LC Duplex lines.

The new options are ideal for use in harsh environments, in applications such as automation systems, renewable energy, test and instrumentation, fiber-to-the-home/fiber-to-the-antenna, and process control. The bayonet locks are easy to use and save, are UV-resistant, and have an optional protection cap.
