The instrumentation sector is divided into three primary segments. ATE/Semiconductor Test(automatic test equipment), which includes equipment used for production testing of semiconductors at the component and wafer levels, LCD display panels, and populated printed circuit board assemblies. Analytical and Scientific Instruments, which includes laboratory and scientific instruments such as chromatography, environmental, laboratory and test equipment, recorders, and loggers, as well as electrical and electronic test equipment, electronic test instrument accessories, optical instruments, RF/microwave test equipment, geophysical, meteorological, and similar instruments. And, Other Instruments, which includes any other instrumentation not mentioned previously. Connectors used in the instrumentation market include PCB, RF connectors, IC sockets and I/O rectangular types like D-subminiatures.
