Powerpole® 15/45 Finger Proof
This connector is especially designed for user safety in applications where access to the energized connector is not otherwise protected. The Powerpole 15/45 finger proof connector minimizes potential finger access when the connector is unmated and energized. Additionally, the flat-wiping contact system reduces contact resistance at high currents, while the wiping action cleans the contact surface during connection/disconnection. Low-detent contacts are also available for applications requiring low insertion/withdrawal force. Contacts are available reeled and in loose piece designs to support all product needs, from engineering prototypes to low- and high-volume products.

The interchangeable genderless design allows for a quick and easy assembly while minimizing the number of parts stocked. Molded dovetails secure connectors into keyed assemblies, preventing misconnection with a similar configuration. Color modular housings provide visual identification for the proper mating connector. The 15/45 connectors meet the accessibility protection requirements of IEC IP20 and UL1977 sec 10.2., and are rated 15, 30, and 45 amps for 600 volts of continuous AC or DC operation. Wire sizes range from #10 to #20 AWG (5.3 to .5 mm²).

PowerMod
The connector system, offered in 3 to 30 circuits, is available for straight PCB, right-angle PCB, and panel or cable mountings, offering maximum design flexibility for a variety of system packaging.

The high performance PowerMod family is rated for 30 amps and features mechanical polarized UL94V-O housings for proper circuit mating. The connectors have up to four sequential pin mating options available for mate-first/break-last and make-last/break-first circuits. The design offers stainless steel positive retention latches and optional back shells that provide additional safety and security for the user. Connectors are available in 13 different sizes: single row 3, 4, 6 and 8 circuit, two row 6, 8, 12 and 16 circuit, and third row 9, 12, 18, 24, and 30 circuit connectors. In addition, the connectors are UL and TÜV recognized and CSA certified.

ACARA
Anderson Power Products® (APP) and Schaffner EMC, leaders in the fields of power interconnect and EMI suppression, have partnered to produce the patent pending, ACARA filtered electrical power connectors. The superior high-frequency attenuation delivered by the ACARA filter connectors prevents radio frequency emission, protecting sensitive computers as well as switching and cellular equipment.

The ACARA male filtered connector provides excellent EMC performance to beyond 10GHz. The unique, integral feed-through capacitor construction incorporates extremely low-series inductance, ensuring that the self-resonant frequency is very high. In fact, as frequency increases, the impedance of the feed-through capacitor decreases exponentially.

To ensure user safety, the plastic housing of the ACARA female power connector’s plastic housing is polarized to the male filter, preventing the installer from reversing polarity. Mating of similar ACARA connectors of different capacitance or operating voltage can be avoided using the optional six position key. ACARA power connector’s positive latch and wire strain relief further enhance the safety of the system. The positive latch prevents accidental un-mating, but allows immediate power disconnect for emergency service or repair. The wire strain relief eliminates creep of the wire insulation jacket which can expose bare conductors and result in electrical shock.

The cost of assembly and installation of these new connectors is greatly reduced  typical installations using common feed-through capacitors and connectors require up to three times the number of components and three times the installation labor. ACARA connectors are now available in 65, 100, 150, and 250 amperage ratings, and in capacitances from 100 to 2100 nano-Farad. The products meet all applicable requirements of UL and EN.

SBS®50 Finger Proof
This 2-pole housing offers customers a finger proof design. The design minimizes contact with live contacts, per UL 1977 and UL 60950 regulations, for systems operating over 50 volts, where risk of shock can be health threatening.

The slim, contoured ergonomic design allows the operator greater ease when connecting and disconnecting. This, along with the flat wipe contact technology, make hot plugging and unplugging easy and safe while using minimal real estate. These housings are also keyed to prevent accidental mating of components operating at different voltage levels. Molded side grooves allow secure panel mounting for panel thickness of .048 to .062 inches.


PowerMod® HP
This connector family features touch-safe female housings, integral positive latches, and cable strain relief. These safety features, combined with the ease of connector assembly, establish a new standard for cost effective, high-power connectors. The PowerMod HP is rated 125 amps at a 30º C temperature rise and may be used in appropriate applications to 175 amps. The product accommodates American wire sizes from #6 to #2 AWG and metric wires from 16 to 35mm². Connectors use a patented Sterling contact technology that offers low electrical resistance, provide a minimum of 500 mating cycles, and are rated for circuit interruption (true hot-plug).

The unique latching system, with distinct blue buttons for clear identification, offers superior security and ergonomics. These connectors are IP 20 rated (touch safe) for user safety, and the integral coding key provides further protection by allowing the user to configure unique mating of up to six individual connectors. An innovative cable strain relief kit, which encompasses all applicable wire sizes, is available as a product option for additional reliability. Offered in 10 different connector housing types ‑ including right-angle, bus bar, panel mount, and blindmate/float selections – they deliver broad design flexibility for current and future high-power interconnections.

Power Clip
Designed as a low cost interconnection between two perpendicular power bus bars, the Power Clip is used in “N+1” rectifier, power supply, and switching power supply applications. The high-performance contact of the Power Clip provides low-voltage drop and superior amperage carrying capability. Because the clip accepts a solid .125” thick nickel or gold-plated rectangular bus bar tab, there is no need for a mating connector.

The Power Clip has been evaluated to UL1977 and CSA standard C22.2 No. 182.3-M1987 and is rated for up to 300 amps of continuous service. The product is also UL-approved for true hot plug current interruption of 100A at 48V and 200A at 42V using a gold bus bar tab.
