JAE was established
in 1953 with the prospect of becoming an aviation electronics
equipment manufacturer in Japan. Some 20 years later, JAE has grown
to an 11 billion dollar company with 70 percent of its sales in
connectors, the largest growth area of the company. Both its system
equipment line and the aerospace line account for 13 percent each of
sales.
Jae is a global manufacturer. Japan holds 70 percent of its sales,
with the balance distributed throughout Asia, North America, and
Europe.
JAE’s business operations are conducted throughout its global
network. There are 10 group companies in Japan and 11 across the sea
(Asia, North America, and Europe). Six sales subsidiaries are
located in Taiwan, China, Korea, Singapore, North America, and
England. Four manufacturing subsidiaries are located in Taiwan,
China, Philippines, and North America. The company has over 5,000
employees.

The core line of JAE’s products supply the personal computer and
information equipment markets, cellular phones and infrastructure
