JAE was established in 1953 with the prospect of becoming an aviation electronics equipment manufacturer in Japan. Some 20 years later, JAE has grown to an 11 billion dollar company with 70 percent of its sales in connectors, the largest growth area of the company. Both its system equipment line and the aerospace line account for 13 percent each of sales.

Jae is a global manufacturer. Japan holds 70 percent of its sales, with the balance distributed throughout Asia, North America, and Europe.

JAE’s business operations are conducted throughout its global network. There are 10 group companies in Japan and 11 across the sea (Asia, North America, and Europe). Six sales subsidiaries are located in Taiwan, China, Korea, Singapore, North America, and England. Four manufacturing subsidiaries are located in Taiwan, China, Philippines, and North America. The company has over 5,000 employees.

JAE is aiming to be an organization that is able to contribute to the needs of society by operating with the corporate philosophy, “Explore, Create, and Practice.” As expressed in its slogan, “building technology to unlock the dreams and the future of the universe,” technology is the pillar of JAE’s management.

The core line of JAE’s products supply the personal computer and information equipment markets, cellular phones and infrastructure networks, digital home appliances, automotive electronics, and industrial equipment.

Recognized as a strong design partner by many major global companies, JAE is consistently striving to provide innovative products to meet the diverse needs of the world market and continue its growth.
