Winchester's connectors are used by leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Contract Electronic Manufacturers (CEMs) in the telecommunications, wireless, computer, military/aerospace, industrial, and medical equipment industries. Winchester's strategy is to focus on a multi-national customer base with global operations to support their local needs. Winchester maintains a global manufacturing and engineering network and operates manufacturing facilities in Wallingford, Connecticut, USA; Nogales, Mexico; Panyu, China; Suzhou, China; and Penang, Malaysia. Winchester's worldwide headquarters are located in Wallingford, Connecticut.

Michael P. Driscoll, president and CEO of the company, views Winchester’s competitive edge as its ability to solve technical interconnect problems, deploy those solutions globally to meet the customer’s manufacturing needs, and offer true supply chain management techniques that deliver value through high-mix/low-volume manufacturing technology. Winchester's new product development efforts focus on leading-edge, high-bandwidth interconnect product along with power management and system level solutions.

Products

RF Connectors – Winchester offers a broad range of RF connectors designed for a frequency range from DC – 50 GHz.  With on-site screw machine capabilities and advanced computer design and simulation tools, Winchester engineers can rapidly design, prototype, and test customized RF connectors and cable assemblies designed to customer requirements. The Quick Connect series incorporates a push/pull style of mating that does not require special tooling for mating/unmating, unlike other standard connectors, which need to be torqued to be properly installed.

Rack and Panel This product line is one of the most comprehensive pin and socket style connector systems available for cable-to-cable, cable-to-panel, and cable-to-board applications. The Rack and Panel product line consists of molded insulators, screw-machined contacts, anodized aluminum hoods and protective shells, and a wide assortment of mating hardware. The extreme versatility of Winchester's Rack and Panel line allows this connector system to be used in a wide variety of industries including industrial, military, aerospace, instrumentation, and telecommunications.

Power Connectors – Winchester’s standard power connector offerings, including industry standards as well as unique innovative designs, provide many solutions to meet high current, high density, and high reliability needs. In addition to customer-specific applications, Winchester offers AdvancedTCA Zone 1 power connectors manufactured to the specifications set forth by the PICMG 3.0 Appendix B guidelines, and 47-position CompactPCI power connectors designed to the requirements of PICMG Power Interface Specification 2.11 R1.0. PC Power compliant termination connectors utilize Winchester's unique C-Press® contact design. The press-fit installations of C-Press® contacts do not require soldering and, as a result, are a more cost-effective means of board termination.

Cable Assemblies
– Winchester supplies a variety of RF cable assemblies, wire harness and jacketed cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical and box build assemblies to customers in the wireless, telecommunications, computer, military, instrumentation, and medical equipment industries.  Capabilities also include collaborating with customers and providing assistance with new product design, documentation, component sourcing, and rapid prototyping.
