’s new M-Series circular connectors provide reliable data, signal, and power transmission for harsh-environment industrial automation systems, including: robotics, process control, industrial networking, food and beverage processing, and medical applications. The field-installable series features an M-style threaded locking nut, is rated IP67, and is available in M5, M8, M12, M16, and M23 variants with plastic and metal housings, straight and right-angle configurations, overmolded cable variants with PVC/PUR jackets, and optional EMI shielding. Passive distributor boxes with IP67 sealing and M12/M8 actuator and sensor sockets are also available.

’s new Pico-EZmate slim 1.2mm-pitch wire-to-board connectors provide reliable connections in a compact profile and improve both reliability and assembly speed in applications that prioritize space savings and manufacturing efficiency, including: mobile phones, tablets, entertainment devices, appliances, lighting, and automotive GPSs. The series features a vertical mating design that enables fast, easy, and accurate assembly, and a polarization key that provides additional mismating prevention.
TE Connectivity
’s new Intercontec connectors for motor applications feature a modular architecture that enables power, signal, and data in any combination, and a robust design with high vibration resistance that delivers reliable performance, reduces downtime, and enhances productivity. Additional features include: low mounting heights, rotatable receptacles that allow for more flexible and convenient cable connections, a self-guided mating and haptic design that enables blind mating, an innovative, 1/8-turn quick-locking system that drastically reduces installation time and the risk of failures during onsite installations, plug-and-play functionality that enables quick, easy, tool-less installation, even for non-electricians, and backward compatibility with standard, screw-locking versions.
Mill-Max’s new tape-forming equipment allows the company to offer almost any of its discrete machined pins and receptacles packaged on EIA-481-D standard carrier tape, accommodate longer or small-diameter pins, and address specific orientation preferences while simultaneously reducing costs and lead times.
Stewart Connector released new single and multiport SFP+ cages and connectors for high-speed I/O solutions in network systems including: data storage, servers, switches, routers, and telecommunications equipment. The new product line delivers reliable performance and maximum EMI protection, supports data speeds up to 10Gb/s for Ethernet and 16Gb/s for Fiber Channel protocols, and includes press-fit pins for secure PCB mounting and stacked configurations. Various heat sink and light pipe options are also available.
Molex’s new MUO 2.5 termination connectors replace closed-end (CE) terminals, which require skilled workers, an extra step for crimping, and extra inspection, in home appliance and HVAC applications, reducing harness assembly lead times while improving quality, reliability, and processing at OEM and cable assembly centers.
Amphenol Industrial Products Group
now offers an array of high-reliability, environmentally rugged power, signal, fiber optic, and backplane connectors, data cables, complete cable assemblies, and cable protection products designed for use in on-land and offshore wind power applications. These products withstand vibration, salt spray, humidity, dust, EMI/EMC, and temperature extremes, reduce installation time and enhance system safety, and are approved by UL/CSA, VDE, and other international standards.
Yamaichi Electronics USA released the Y-CIRC® P and M Series easy-install, secure-locking, circular metric connectors for demanding industrial applications to the North American market. Y-CIRC P push-pull connectors are compact, cost effective, and lightweight; feature IP50 sealing and 360° EMI shielding; and are available in four sizes (9, 12, 15, and 18) with multiple keying options and 2–32 pins. They are rated for 5,000 cycles and 1.5–36A. Y-CIRC M M12 CAT 6A cable assemblies are highly configurable, rated IP65 or IP68, and are available in A-, B-, D-, and X-coded versions with 2–8 pins and with optional 360° shielding and vibration protection. They are rated for 100+ mating cycles and 30–250V.
WAGO’s 221 LEVER-NUT® splicing connectors are now UL467 listed for grounding and bonding, extending their use to branch circuit junction boxes in commercial and residential construction and industrial control cabinets. The series employs CAGE CLAMP® spring connection technology, which delivers high contact force and low resistance, enables safe, efficient grounding, and provides a tool-less, easy to use (and reuse) method for connecting and communing ground wires up to 12AWG at a significantly lower cost than a copper grounding bus bar.
Ironwood Electronics’ new high-performance elastomer socket for 0.4mm-pitch BGA packages (SG25-BGA-2042) is designed for 4.47×4.34mm packages and operates at bandwidths up to 40GHz with less than 1dB of insertion loss. Contact resistance is typically 20mΩ per pin.
Molex’s new single- and dual-port USB Smart Charge Modules enable fast charging in automotive and commercial vehicles, including cars, trucks, trains, and farm equipment. The compact modules feature 2.4A output current, a battery operating voltage of 9–16V, and over-voltage, over-current, and short-circuit protection for safety.
Tools, Accessories, and Development Kits
AVX released a new Energy Harvesting Application Design Kit that includes 9286 Series wire-to-wire connectors, 9296 Series wire-to-board poke-home connectors, and 9175/6/7 wire-to-board STRIPT™ IDC contacts for external connections in thermoelectric generators, solar cells, piezoelectric devices, and micro wind turbines.
Wire, Cable, and Cable Assemblies
Fairview Microwave launched a new line of low-PIM, plenum-rated SPP-250-LLPL cable assemblies for use in wireless infrastructure, including: multicarrier communication systems, indoor wireless systems, distributed antenna systems, and PIM testing. The 36 new jumper cables feature a maximum PIM level of -155dBc, a maximum operating frequency of 6GHz, and a maximum VSWR of 1.25:1 up to 2GHz and 1.35:1 up to 6GHz.
RF Industries now offers low-PIM plenum cable assemblies with 1.0–2.3 push-pull connector interfaces, which help improve range, speed, and system performance in distributed antenna systems and wireless infrastructure.
Fairview Microwave
also released a new series of rugged, portable, phase-stable RF analyzer cables for applications including: handheld network, base station, and portable spectrum analyzers, field testing, tower and distance-to-fault measurements, and site maintenance. The 19 new cables provide optimal amplitude and phase stability with flexure, deliver a maximum operating frequency of 27GHz and VSWR as low as 1.2:1, and feature a UV-resistant jacket, stainless steel body connectors, silver-plated copper cable conductors, and multi-layer armor for torque resistance and 1,200psi of crush resistance.
