Conec Telecom RJ-45 Flange MountJune 2012—North Carolina-based Conec advanced its water-resistant series of connectors to include Ethernet I/O ports with a special flange-mount.

These die-cast, nickel-plated IP67-rated connectors allow designers to incorporate popular data ports in applications exposed to harsh environmental conditions. The addition of a flange-mount to the RJ45 Series makes it an option for applications such as industrial machinery, security and surveillance equipment, test and measurement equipment, and GPS systems and communications. These connectors, available in Cat5e or Cat6e configurations, provide increased protection from contamination and moisture in addition to mechanical stability, temperature resistance, vibration immunity, and EMI/RFI shielding.

The flange-mounted IP67-rated RJ45 connector can be front or rear-mounted to a maximum panel thickness of 3.20mm, and operates within a temperature range of -40ºC to +85ºC. The RJ45 product family features a 1/6th turn bayonet coupling for fast and secure mating/un-mating, even with gloved hands.

The RJ45 product line also includes a variety of panel-mounted receptacles, mating plugs, protective caps, and pre-terminated jumper cables, including cables suitable for outdoor use and direct burial.

The IP67 RJ45 flange-mounted connectors guarantee a continuously secure dust-proof and weather-proof connection, with a silicone ring seal that creates a water-tight connection to the panel.
