DesignSpark Third Birthday Celebrated by RS Components
RS Components celebrated the third birthday of DesignSpark, the gateway to online resources and design support for engineers. DesignSpark has more than 140,000 members across the globe. Back in October, RS launched the new design of the DesignSpark website in conjunction with DesignSpark PCB version 4 that included the new ModelSource feature, an extensive online database of free engineering models that hosts schematic and PCB component libraries as well as 2D and 3D CAD models. The recently released DesignSpark PCB version 5 has many more advantages.
Last month, RS Components launched its new DesignShare section. DesignShare was created for the DesignSpark community and partners to create, collaborate, share, and download open source projects. It’s also a place where members can submit project ideas they’d like to see RS Components adopt and design. On the occasion, CEO Shiv Bhambri said, “We believe in delivering the latest technology and the newest products to design engineers and buyers. This sets us apart from other industry players and gives our customers a time-to-market advantage. Our goal is to team up with the leading manufacturers that always advance their technologies to inspire design engineers to develop innovative solutions.”
In the coming months, RS Components will launch the next release of DesignSpark PCB and a complementary design tool.
