Carlisle Interconnect Technologies Launches SMP-L Push-On Connector with Secure-Lok
Carlisle Interconnect Technologies introduced its new family of push-on connectors, the SMP-LTM series, which incorporates a patent-pending locking mechanism called Secure-Lok. The locking feature adds a strong retention force to the standard push-on connector, which makes it ideal for rugged military and commercial applications that are susceptible to vibration. In addition, this simple locking mechanism does not require any additional tools to engage or disengage the connector. Finally, the small form factor of the SMP-L connector series reduces weight and size to accommodate dense packaging of RF/microwave systems.
The SMP-LTM retains the benefits of a push-on connector and is compatible with the entire SMP connector line. Furthermore, sealed IP67-compliant designs are also available. The ruggedized features of the SMP-L connectors make them suitable for use in radars, military radios, missiles, guided munitions, space, and industrial applications.
The SMP-L series with Secure-Lok features a frequency range of DC -40 GHz; a unique locking mechanism in a push-on configuration; superior ruggedness and performance compared with SMP standard product lines; IP67-compliant options.
