Avnet Electronics Marketing and TE Connectivity Celebrate 25 Years
Avnet Electronics Marketing and TE Connectivity (TE) have been providing OEM customers with world-leading connectivity solutions paired with outstanding distribution service for the past 25 years. The two companies marked the silver anniversary of their affiliation on February 14. Together, they have more than 100 years of electronics industry leadership, providing a combined powerhouse of know-how and capabilities to customers.
“With its longstanding commitment to innovation, TE has changed the way the world thinks about connectivity,” said Ed Smith, president, Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas. “Designers no longer specify connectors; now they look for connectivity solutions, and they expect these devices to not just complete a board, but to actually enhance the overall performance of their system. I look forward to many years of collaboration to bring Avnet’s best-in-class supply chain and value-add interconnect expertise and TE’s diverse range of market-leading products together, helping our mutual customers blaze new trails in the ever-expanding global high-tech electronics frontier.”
“Avnet has been a great partner to TE for the past 25 years and we look forward to continuing our relationship for many more years to come,” said Joan Wainwright, president, channel and customer experience at TE Connectivity. “Together, we offer a winning combination of innovative products and a broad array of services to solve the connectivity challenges of thousands of customers around the world.”
To celebrate its 25-year partnership with TE, Avnet Electronics Marketing has made a charitable donation in honor of the company to the FIRST Robotics Competition. FIRST Robotics is a non-profit organization, led by American innovator Dean Kamen, which seeks to inspire children and young adults to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
