Avnet Memec Brings Internet of Things to European Market

Avnet Memec has been named as a distributor for Telecom Design, M2M communications specialists, in France, Benelux, and Iberia. The distribution agreement enables Avnet Memec to drive forward the Internet of Things strategy to a broader European market, which it recently launched in France.

Telecom Design provides a full range of modules, tools, and web server solutions enabling connectivity to the SIGFOX Network, an ultra-low bandwidth cellular network for the Internet of Things and M2M.

Avnet Memec will promote and support the full product range to enable the connection of smart applications to the SIGFOX network as it deploys throughout Europe.

There has been a great deal of discussion in recent years around the Internet of Things concept. Companies such as Telecom Design and SIGFOX are at last turning the talk into real life applications, according to Philippe Fremont, regional vice president, Avnet Memec Southern Europe.
