Binder-USA M12 Eight-Pin Receptacles

By News Release | November 17, 2014

Binder-USA M12 eight-pin receptacles with right-angled PCB contacts are ideal for industrial network and robot applications.

Binder-USA 8-pin M12-connectorsBinder-USA has extended its range of M12 A-coded four- and five-pin right-angled receptacles to include an eight-pin version. The new receptacles feature a two-piece design that allows for more efficient soldering and assembly to the panel. These connectors are ideally suited for industrial network and robotic applications.

The Binder Series 713 and 763 receptacles have eight gold-plated contacts that are rated at 2A with a maximum rating of 60V. To ensure protection from liquids and debris, the connectors are IP67-rated when fully mated. An optional o-ring can also be used to seal the space between the housing and contact inserts.

When assembled, the contact insert snaps onto the printed circuit board (PCB) and the wave-soldering process is used to terminate the contacts. Once the board is assembled to the panel, the metal locking nut is fastened to the insert.

For a complete mating solution, the Series 713 and 763 M12 product line includes field-attachable connectors and cordsets. Additionally, a version with a shielding sheet provides the contact between the housing and the PCB.
