Siemon Interconnect Solutions’ color-coded cable clips ease network identification.
Siemon Interconnect Solutions (SIS), a business unit of Siemon that provides custom network infrastructure solutions, announced new color-coded cable clips that give data center administrators an easy, cost-effective way to clearly segregate and identify various network systems.
Available in nine highly visible colors, these clips attach easily and securely to Siemon cables, including RJ45 patch cords, high-speed twinax cables, active optical cables, and fiber jumpers used in Ethernet, InfiniBand, and Fibre Channel networks.
Rather than the added expense of purchasing and stocking jumpers and patch cords in different jacket colors, the inexpensive color-coded cable clips can be used for visually segregating different networks depending on application, type of data transmitted, or equipment connected. As recommended by industry standards, differentiating various network systems via color-coding saves time and eliminates errors during moves, adds, and changes.
The field-attachable color-coded cable clips come in five different sizes to fit cable diameters ranging from 2.4mm to 7.2mm, and they are also available in a plug clip for attaching to Siemon TERA Category 7A, Z-MAX Category 6A, and MC Category 6 modular cords.
