The SOURIAU UTL Power+Control connector is designed for luminaires and urban lighting systems.
The UTL Power+Control connector series from Esterline Connection Technologies – SOURIAU, is designed for luminaires and urban lighting systems installed both outdoors and inside buildings. Engineered specifically for LED lighting, it is one of the only harsh-environment connector solutions on the market that transmits both power and RS-485 data, which makes it ideal for applications involving DMX lighting-control protocol.
The UTL Power+Control connector series is UL/IEC-certified. The product has been chosen by many major customers and has a proven performance through several hundred thousand units installed in the US, Europe, and Asia. SOURIAU is one of the only interconnect companies that can provide UL/IEC-certified (UL 1598, IEC 60598) products for luminaires used in urban and outdoor LED lighting applications including architectural lighting for buildings, bridges, tunnels, airports, streetlights, stadiums, entertainment sets/stages, and more.
UTL Power+Control features six contacts – three for power and three for signals. Optionally, the connectors can be overmolded to provide customers with turnkey solutions featuring fully integrated harnesses for fast, safe installation.
UTL Power+Control is very simple to use and safe to install. With its ergonomic locking system and push-pull touch latch, it is easy to connect even in hard-to-see and -reach locations. The audible click confirms that connections are properly mated and locked.
UTL Power+Control by Souriau is a connector with current-breaking capacity and is very robust. Its latch system keeps it locked in place, ensuring an IP68/69K seal. Designed for use in the harshest climates, including water immersion, it withstands all weather conditions and features a shell made from a proprietary polyamide for increased UV resistance. UTL Power+Control is covered by a five-year warranty for use in outdoor conditions with UV exposure.
The connector series has a durability of 1,000 mating cycles and withstands vibrations of 10 to 2,000Hz according to IEC 60512-4. It can be used at temperatures of –40°C to +105°C, complies with smoke and fire standards, and has a salt-spray resistance of more than 1,000 hours.
